Chapter 10 - Circles
Throughout the duration of this unit, you will be exploring the aspects of circles. We will take a look at circumference, area, arc length, and sector area. We will also examine circular properties of tangents, arcs, chords, segments, and various angles within circles. We will also look at graphing circles and other "conic sections" in the coordinate plane. Each day of the lesson, you will direct yourself to my website and the "Geometry Honors Circles Unit" underneath the "more" tab. From this page, you will follow the expectations for each module (listed below). Always read the expectations first, then proceed to complete the lesson through the link provided at the end of the module description. Each day's work is to be submitted to Mr. Alexander via email or through sharing a document via Google Docs. Please read each set of directions and perform the tasks IN ORDER to ensure adequate completion of each module. Due dates for each module are by the end of the class period (or in the evening of the assigned date). Questions? Just ask Mr. A! |
